Deep inside us, at the root of everything. The most powerful desire, but the greatest fear. Even more than oneself and in the name of nothing. Procreation exists in a much wider world than that of parents, siblings and ancestors. It oscillates between the private circle and the political sphere. It is at the origin of human life and the organization of the world. It imposes itself on us as a universal and omnipresent subject. Fundamental right and finally so fragile, this object of fantasy is transformed today into an ideological fight.

The 2021 law authorising ART (assisted reproductive technology) for all in France is the starting point for our thinking. Because despite the authorisation and the extension of the law, many problems remain.
